The Herewini whanau in partnership with the Te Tohu Taakaro o Aotearoa Charitable Trust offers a grant of (amount to be confirmed at the awards presentation) and the Herewini whanau taonga/trophy to an outstanding Junior male and female hockey player of Māori descent at the NZ Māori Hockey National Hockey Tournament.
Nominations close on the 27th June.
Awards will be presented for top sports administrator, umpire/referee, para-athlete, coach, team, junior sportsman and woman, senior sportsman and woman, and world individual, team champions and hall of fame.
An overall winner will be named as the Albie Pryor Memorial Māori Sports Person of the Year, Rongomaraeroa.
