NOTE: NZ Māori Hockey was not represented at this year’s NZ Heritage Tournament due to governance matters. We acknowledge the disappointment this brings to our players, rangatahi, and whānau. Our focus remains on finding a way forward that protects our kaupapa and supports a united pathway back to the turf. We stand with all who carry the kaupapa of Māori hockey with pride.
The event features matches against a variety of ethnic representative teams and highlights the cultural richness within our hockey community. Strong participation from NZ Māori Hockey, NZ Indian Hockey, and Pasifika teams ensures a vibrant programme that reflects the many communities that have shaped hockey in New Zealand.
It’s a colourful, family-friendly weekend that honours community, identity, and the deep heritage of our sport.
