This year marks the welcome return of both our NZ Māori Senior and Junior teams. The NZ Heritage Hockey Weekend, held over Easter, brings together players, whānau, and supporters to celebrate the history, culture, and diversity of hockey in Aotearoa.
The event features matches against a variety of ethnic representative teams and highlights the cultural richness within our hockey community. Strong participation from NZ Māori Hockey, NZ Indian Hockey, and Pasifika teams ensures a vibrant programme that reflects the many communities who have shaped hockey in New Zealand.
It’s a colourful, family-friendly weekend that honours community, identity, and the deep heritage of our sport.
