We’re proud to introduce our New Zealand Māori Hockey Representative Coaches for the 2026–2028 term — a rōpū of kaiako who exemplify leadership, expertise, and the wairua that drives Māori Hockey. Each brings a deep commitment to nurturing talent, strengthening whanaungatanga, and upholding the mana of our game and our people.

New Coaches

NZ Māori Wāhine Junior Team
Head Coach: Tuhia Hohepa (Te Tai Tokerau) – ends 2028

Assistant Coach: Atamira De Goldi-Ling (Te Waipounamu) – ends 2028


NZ Māori Tāne Junior Team
Head Coach: Sam Hewett (Tāmaki Makaurau) – ends 2028
Assistant Coach: Brad Pittman (Te Tai Tokoro) – ends 2028


NZ Māori Tāne Senior Team
Assistant Coach: Phil McConnell (Waikato-Maniapoto) – ends 2028, will join our current senior head coach, Mark Kake.
